10 years ago when I was diagnosed with Ankylosing Spondylitis. My Rheumatologist said that having an exercise routine is highly recommended for someone with my condition.
This is easier said than done.
If I’m time poor and stressed my back will get so painful I find it impossible to want to do anything but lie on the floor, the problem is this only compounds the pain. The key to reducing pain from Ankylosing Spondylitis is movement.
Last year the did a beginner’s course at the Yoga factory Annandale Yoga and through learning a Yoga practice I discovered it was a proactive way dealing with my pain.
To research this poster I did a quick goolgle for yoga positions and Ankylosing Spondylitis and found this article, but I wanted a visual which why I ended up drawing my own, then I thought I’d play with the order of positions starting with lying on the floor, which is usually the position I’m in when I don’t want to move or exercise.
