Matthew Flinders is one of my personal heroes, and Australian and maritime history are two of my passions. This was one of my "Friday night sketches", done purely for my own enjoyment. It shows Flinders as a young man of 26, charting the coast of Australia - real "boy's own adventure" type stuff!
