This original cartoon ran in the Sydney City Hub street newspaper.
It depicts Peter Garrett (ex singer of legendary Australian rock group Midnight Oil) as a problem gambler, thinking he can beat the Labor party machine. Having stood for election for the Nuclear Disarmament Party in Australia in the 80s, in 2004 he stood for the Labor party, and as Environment Minister approved three uranium mines. He's in power, but is he able to do what he set out to do or has he sold his soul? Time will tell...
